SSARIS HISTORY

SSARIS Advisors, LLC was formed in 2001 and is majority owned by State Street Global Alliance, a subsidiary of State Street Bank & Trust Company, a ‘AA-’ rated financial institution and minority owned by the senior management team of SSARIS. State Street Global Alliance (“Global Alliance”) is a joint venture between State Street Global Advisors (“SSgA”) and ABP, a Dutch pension fund that is one of the largest pension funds in the world.

Timeline of significant milestones in our firm’s history:

• Launched series of multi-manager hedge funds (e.g. FOFs) including equity hedge, relative value, global macro/CTA and a Japan focused equity fund;

• Joint ventured with SSgA to create commodity, liability driven and principal protected investment programs;

1990’s
• Positioned firm with advisory capability and began recommending outside hedge fund managers (e.g. fund of hedge funds);

• Senior management plays pro-active role in shaping industry through participation in major industry associations, centers and boards;

1980’s
• Predecessor company RXR Capital Management, Inc. founded and launches equity hedge, relative value and systematic global macro/managed futures strategies;
